If you follow us on Snapchat (Mymissionlane), you were probably thinking I was going to prom, that's not what happened at all, but I guess you would say I relived prom through someone else's shoes. This weekend we had our first Mission Lane prom glam and it was a SUCCESS! I really wanted to glam a girl who exemplified what Mission Lane is all about, giving back to others. 

Kary was brought to my attention from someone in my town and I remember having my first conversation with her and immediately loved her. Her personality was so vibrant, energetic, and sincere. I mean I’m here offering her the opportunity to get glammed for prom and she’s asking me how she could help me with a clothing drive.I was sold!

 Kary’s prom theme was all about Hollywood Glamour, think Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable, Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, Lauren Bacall, pretty much the “How To Marry a Millionaire” cast. This also happens to be one of my favorite movie era’s so I was all about emulating this look. Kary chose a long red V-neck trumpet gown with criss cross back detail. The pearl details on the sleeve and bodice were added to bring some more spice to the dress and if a white fur doesn't scream Hollywood I'm not sure what does. 

I want to thank my glam squad @mzsarnz who was actually my college roommate & @hairybycassy whose helped with hair on the store shoots, for blessing us with their talents. @lucia_est.1987 a.k.a my sister for helping me organize everything for the day. Last but not least, a big thank you to our prom queen Kary for being her and for trusting strangers on her big day. Kary continually mentioned to me how blessed she feels, but I think we were all blessed that day to be able to make her prom dream come true. Wishing Kary the best of luck in college and on her upcoming mission trip to Mexico this summer.
