Who are you? What do you do?

 We are the Street Thug Barbers and we provide free haircuts, support and guidance to those living on the streets, low income families and those transitioning back into the real world. Since founded in August 2015 we have provided more than 6000 free haircuts and have built mentor-ship programs in youth shelters and pop up barber locations throughout the city of Vancouver. Along with all of that we are building a businesses that will help provide support and new beginnings to those in need of work, hope and a second chance.

What’s your mission?

 Our mission is to bring awareness, hope and compassion to all that live on the streets, low income families and those struggling to find a new beginning. We pride ourselves on being a stage for the voiceless, being the light to those living in the dark and the strength for those who are weak. Our goal is to show the world and the next generation that we as humans can change the world and you don't have to be a celebrity with millions of dollars, a superhero in movies or a media famous person to change the life of someone in need. We are just 3 barbers that stand for more than just hair, we stand for unity and equality for all that can this planet home.

Why not just be great at what you do? Why give back?

 We as humans forget that we can change the world and bring love to others with what we already have. We have the tools for peace but forget it and we are using our voices to help bring that awareness to everyone on earth and make them realize that inside each human is a hero that has the power to make the world a better place for all.

What organizations do you feel the closest to and why?

 We are a unique charity that is unlike any other out there but i would have to say You First Project which was founded by my friend Dustin Berlin is the closes to us. they provide haircuts to those on skid row and have had hardships like us that they use to fuel the passion of giving.

Are there specific people that had a big influence on your desire to give back, if so who are they and how did they influence you?

 My mom, she has been through so much but yet she continues to smile and while working 2 jobs she still was able to raise me to the man i am today.

If you could ask for 3 things in this world what would it be?

 Hope, Humanity and unity
